This easy-drinking, fresh, everyday liter bottle of Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay comes from the Crnko farm on the east side of Slovenia, near the Austrian border. The marl soils here are similar to the more famous vineyards on the western side of the country, on the border with Italy,a nd impart the same intense minerality. The Riesling character dominates this wine, with heady tones of quince and tangerine, plus that distinctive streak of minerality that you find in all of this winery's offering. There's bright, mouthwatering acidity and clean flavors, making it a natural for dirnking on its own. Or try it in a spritzer like the locals of the wine's namesake city of Jarenina do.
