While this whisky was much maligned on its initial release because, well because it was horrible. It has gotten so much better recently. Its rich, velvety in texture, with a powerful spice and a lingering oakiness. The maltiness of Rogue's Dead Ale definitely comes through here. The spirit is the star of the show, and I would treat this vaguely like a white whisky. A treat for beer geeks and a curiosity for whiskey people, but needless to say: WAY more balanced then previous bottlings. (David Othenin-Girard, K&L Spirits buyer)
