I opened a bottle of this wine last night just so I could confirm my notes from last Februrary, and I was just shocked. The lush, forward red fruit is incredibly inviting and spicy. On the palate the supple texture of the wine is balanced perfectly by a core of bright acidity that stretches out the finish, producing a really stunning wine for the price. This is a second label, so it's unlikely the wine will be reviewed by the critics. But I'm throwing down the gauntlet: nothing we have at $9.99 is anywhere this good.
