Offers a plump, generous serving of ripe pear, white peach, honeysuckle and fig flavors that are pure and rich, with a touch of honey and apricot joining a scent of smoky oak on the finish. Drink now through 2020. (Web-2012)
(El Molino's chardonnay, from classic Rutherford loam and gravel soil, does not go through malolactic fermentation): Bright yellow. Slightly high-toned aromas of apricot, peach, pineapple and dusty spices. Distinctly tropical on entry, showing a note of mango, then higher-pitched in the mid-palate, with lime and pear flavors lifted by flowers and minerals. Finishes with good texture and length.
