Groslot is a minor grape variety in the Loire, but a historical one in Anjou. It has characteristics of lush fruit and light tannins. A non-vintage blend of 2009 and 2010 harvests, the 20 to 30-year-old vines planted in slate produce a uniquely ripe and mouth-filling red wine. The wine was bottled after the wine spent 10 months in 3 to 7-year-old (neutral) oak barrels.
