Bright, light, but with focused plum pit and cherry eau-de-vie notes and a splash of violet on the finish.
Bright cherry red. Fragrant, graphite and red fruit. Zippy and fresh. Less alcohol and more acid than in 2010. Has that lovely Cabernet Franc freshness that stands out in 2011. Slight and attractive grain to the tannins
A wine with good balance and bright acidity. Lots of orange peel. Medium body, light tannins. Second wine of Nenin.
The 2011 Fugue de Nenin is a straightforward, one-dimensional, but attractive, elegant effort offering berry fruit and leafy herb characteristics as well as an easy-going finish. This blend of 88% Merlot and 12% Cabernet Franc should drink well for 6-8 years.
*V Could be a super value. Pretty upfront fruit, sweet and delicious. Forward.
