A big, boisterous wine, the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon delivers tons of depth and richness for its price range. The fruit dries out just a touch on the finish, but this remains a solid value. (8/ 2012)
Sourced from their estate Margarita Vineyard, the Ancient Peaks 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon simultaneously benefits from one of the coolest sites and longest growing seasons in the region. Combined with the diverse and ancient soil types of the vineyard, Ancient Peaks produces a Cabernet Sauvignon with excellent structure and depth. Plum and cherry are complimented by chocolate and licorice on the nose, while cassis, spice, and leather fill out the palate. A food-friendly alcohol level rounds out the appeal of this juicy Paso Robles Cabernet.
