A pretty citrus and green fruit nose combines with detailed, racy, intense and crisp flavors that possess an attractive sense of energy before ending in a delicious finish of moderate depth. Drink 2013+. (Note: the fruit for this comes 70% from Puligny and 30% from Meursault; Les Sétilles is a brand name with no other significance; 50% older wood.) (6/ 2012)
The 2010 Bourgogne Les Setilles is a direct, frank wine with good varietal and vintage definition in its bright, zesty fruit. Ideally, it is best enjoyed over the next 1-2 years. Anticipated maturity: 2012+. This is a solid set of wines from Olivier Leflaive's negociant operation. (8/ 2012)
Burghound's Allen Meadows adds: "The always direct Franck Grux told me that 2010 is an 'excellent vintage and in both colors. In fact I would go so far as to say that it's the best vintage in both colors since 1990. Moreover, the wines should age extremely well. The fruit was ripe and very clean, which is of course what you want but what you don't want is to have such limited yields as the quantities in 2010 are definitely low. One of the aspects that contributed greatly to the quality was that grape maturities were very homogenous. I love this vintage as the wines are wonderfully precise and delineated plus the transparency is such that each terroir is clear.' " (06/12)
