Vietti's 2011 Arneis is laced with varietal notes of white-fleshed fruit and flowers. This crisp, easygoing Arneis is best enjoyed over the next year, while the fruit retains its vibrancy. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2014. (10/ 2012)
This estate-bottled Italian white is 100% Roero Arneis DOCG from Piedmont. Grapes from the 25-year-old vines were harvested in mid-September and fermented in stainless steel at a low temperature to preserve freshness and a tiny bit of natural CO2. Try this bright, aromatic Arneis as an apertif or with light hors d'ouevres, crudités, seafood, or salad.
