Classic, old school Barolo at a steal of a price. Highly recommended. (Chris Miller, K&L Hollywood Italian Wine Specialist) A great introduction to Barolo that won't feel like your wallet is hemorrhaging, the Cantine Ascheri has Nebbiolo's classic rose and tar aromas with lots of exotic spice and hints of camphor underpinning. On the palate there's lovely red fruit with hints of anise delivered on a bed of acidity and well-integrated-yet-characterustic tannins.
Below is a listing of the wine review scores we frequently reference in our notes. While these sources remain an excellent source of information, we always recommend that you trust your own palate. Scores in these publications often represent the personal taste of an individual critic, which may not always coincide with your own.
