2009 Beaumont, Haut-Médoc
Earthy and juicy with sweet tobacco and spice. Full-to-medium body, fine tannins. Drink now.
Lots of spiced wood, with sweet blackberry fruits. The wine is initially soft, but the tannins do kick in. The fruit finally has vivid freshness.

Wood spice, roasted herbs and black currants are present in this solidly made, supple blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 46% Merlot and the rest Petit Verdot. Drink it over the next 4-5 years. (A member of the Association of Crus Bourgeois du Medoc.)

Inky ruby. Captivating aromas of strawberry, violet, graphite and sexy new oak. Enters very smooth, offering a beautifully tactile mouth feel and flavors of very ripe plum and red cherry complicated by sandalwood and cinnamon. An in-your-face yet serious style of wine that will be perfect for short-term drinking. The long finish is a bit warm and saline.
This focused red shows a thread of savory herb holding together the red currant, plum and pomegranate flavors. A nice stony edge marks the finish. (Web-2012)
Spicy, silky, with an enduring finish, here's an excellent value in 2009 Haut-Médoc. "Elegant, fresh and honest," says K&L Bordeaux expert, Ralph Sands.
