I would be hard pressed to find a more interesting wine for under $20 in the store. Tobacco, herbs and delicate raspberry on the nose. The tart red fruit comes through on the palate along with spices and herbs along with a juicy finish and nice structured tannins. Some people might need food like a juicy steak with this wine to calm the tannins. I like the astringent finish and light body for roasted veggies, sausages and cheeses.
