Roland Schmitt was part of the new generation of vignerons in Alsace in the 1980s who rescued the region's wines from the decay of the post-War years. Sadly, he died in 1993, but his passion for Alsatian wine and the region's spectacular terroir are carried on by his wife Anne-Marie and their two sons, Julien and Bruno. Super fresh and bright with notes of clean tropical fruits and hints of underlying dusty mineral. Layered and snappy on the palate with a broad acidity which is juicy and lengthy. Really solid Gewurz!
