Okay these guys like Riesling, so much that it's all they make! This is from their debut vintage, and it's a chance to taste something with a little bottle developement. In 2007 the grapes came from the Nelson region., with following vintages to come from Waipara. The wine was fermented in seven separate batches, all in stainless steel and each with a different yeast culture for complexity. After fermentation the wine was blended and left on the lees for six months with occasional stirring to create texture. Slightly off-dry, the wine has a bouquet of apricot, nectarine, marmalade, honey, lime blosson and a hint of lanolin from secondary developement. On the palate there is richness supported by fine acicidy and good length. This is a good chance to see why you not only should drink more Riesling, but, why you should put some in your cellar.
