Liquid Farm is a super small producer focused on creating restrained, "old world" style Chardonnay with varietal typicity and natural acidity from the limestone soils of California's Sta. Rita Hills. They follow minimal intervention winemaking procedures - natural fermentations, neutral barrels, "no funny business, basically," as they say, and we sure like the results. With the help of the winemaking team at Dragonette Cellars, 240 cases of this 2010 "Golden Slope" Chardonnay were produced, and we were lucky to get what we did (the rest making its way into chic Los Angeles dining establishments). It's balanced, complex, and refreshing, with lemony citrus highlights, leesey undertones, and loads of mineral character.
Below is a listing of the wine review scores we frequently reference in our notes. While these sources remain an excellent source of information, we always recommend that you trust your own palate. Scores in these publications often represent the personal taste of an individual critic, which may not always coincide with your own.
