Good medium red. Liqueur-like red fruits and tobacco on the nose. Sweet, sappy and dense but brightened by harmonious acidity. Strong, youthfully tight cherry and berry flavors coat the palate. Finishes quite long, with strong but even tannins. A very good showing. (12/ 1999)
This red shows depth and complexity, maturing but still fresh. It's generous on the palate, with plum, raisin, cedar and chocolate notes. A true expression of Rioja character. Drink now through 2010. 5,000 cases made. (11/ 2002)
