Offers a dark, plush feel, with roasted fig and warm currant preserves notes flowing over dark tobacco and bittersweet cocoa flavors, followed by a solid, tarry-edged finish. (3/ 2012)
The 2009 is made from a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot and the rest Petit Verdot. Attractive loamy soil notes intermixed with black currants and mulberries jump from the glass of this fruity, solidly constructed, mid-weight wine. Drink it over the next 5-7 years. *V Solid wine. Well made and a value, with blackberry flavors and a sweet palate impression. From Jancis Robinson: "60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot. Intense and savoury-edged cassis with a very light leafiness adding freshness. Tight, tense and grippy at the moment but with the fruit to fill the core." (09/2011)
