According to Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Malbec saw 40% of the wine aged in American oak for 10 months. Cedar, spice box, cherry blossom and assorted red and black fruits set the stage for a ripe, tasty, forward, friendly Malbec that is a very good value meant for drinking over the next 2-3 years." (12/2011) According to the Wine Spectator: "Floral, with aromas and flavors of raspberry and cherry mixing with hints of incense and spice that turn a touch dry on the finish. Drink now." (2011) This wine continues to over-deliver in the quality to price ratio, or QPR department (please excuse the industry jargon). Back again is the smooth, fleshiness, the bright red cherry fruit, hint of ripe blueberry and a touch of earthy smoke. At K&L the staff has commented on the fact that this wine seems to only gain in value and structure with each vintage.
