Warm and ripe wine, very open with its red fruit acidity well integrated. There are tannins and a more dry character of course—this is a 2010 wine, but the main effect is of weight and some power. (10/ 2011)
This was a stand-out among all of the 2010 Duboeuf Cru Beaujolais, with a a very masculine style and tightly focused fruit character. The impressive thing about this wine is that nothing impresses you. To put it differently, all the pieces are in such seamless balance that no one thing stands out. Fruit, tannin, concentration, entry, finish. Everything blends with no one thing out of balance in any way. (Keith Wollenberg, K&L Burgundy buyer, 09/11)
