*Editors' Choice* You could use this as a teaching tool for classic Sonoma County Zinfandel. It's full-bodied, dry and spicy, with briary flavors of wild berries, mocha, tobacco, leather and exotic spices. More importantly, it's absolutely delicious. The grapes come from Seghesio's best vineyards in the Alexander and Dry Creek valleys...An astonishing value.

Wine Spectator
This racy wine is jammed with pepper and licorice, plus notes of black raspberry, roasted sage and smoke. Still youthful and unpolished, but promises much. Best from 2014 through 2017. 79,000 cases made. (Tasting Highlights)

Connoisseurs Guide
Finding nice equilibrium between ripeness and fruit, Seghesio has come up with a balanced and wonderfully accessible wine that is rife with juicy blackberry qualities and throws in a touch of sweet oak. If not yet as polished nor as complex as it will be with age, it is nonetheless quite tasty now and will do the trick nicely as a foil to Pasta Puttanesca or those bathed in a hearty Bolognese meat sauce.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
This excellent 2010 Zinfandel was made from a blend of 89% Zinfandel, 9% Petite Sirah and 2% Syrah, and was aged 10 months in primarily American oak and a small amount of French wood. This 80,000-case cuvee exhibits lovely strawberry and black cherry fruit notes intermixed with hints of pepper, spice box and a meaty/charcuterie aroma. It is an enticing, medium to full-bodied, dense, rustic Zinfandel to drink over the next several years.
