Brassfield's High Serenity Ranch vineyard is 100+ year old site with high-draining, loam and gravel soils on which various Sauvignon Blanc clones--including the distinctly aromatic Musque clone--are planted in two distinct blocks. A cool micoclimate preserves acidity throughout an extended growing season, allowing the fruit to ripen fully without compromising freshness. The wine was fermented and aged in a combination of stainless steel and neutral barrels, with considerable time on the lees and regular batonnage to add weight and richness. The end result is an aromatic, citrusy Sauvignon Blanc, with a lemon-lime nose accented by hints of white peach, vanilla, and creamy lees. These aromas are echoed on the palate, which unwinds toward a tangy, refreshing finish.
