Powerful, delivering a refined minerality and smokiness to the concentrated flavors of apple, slate, red peach and sea salt. Long and rich on the finish, with notes of dried fig and white pepper. Best from 2013 through 2027. (4/ 2011)
Pale green-yellow. Peach and apricot aromas are complicated by fresh spring meadow herbs and subtle orange zest. The wine's sweet peach flavor is nicely framed by a muscular acid structure that currently disguises its full body. Finishes complex and long, with agility and finesse. Drink 2014 to 2019. (4/ 2011)
