Ruby-purple. Expressive aromas of raspberry, strawberry, coffee, iron and milk chocolate. Sweet and creamy, with fresh, easygoing flavors of redcurrant, strawberry, caramel and chocolate. Finishes silky and lush, with a delicate sweet spicy note, sneaky complexity and subtle length. This should offer almost immediate drinking pleasure. (6/ 2010)
This has a nice fleshy feel, with plum, anise and blackberry fruit, but it's also lively, with floral, iron and bright spice notes that chime in and hang through the finish. Drink now through 2018. (3/ 2012)
Dark crimson. Fresh and fleshy and easy for early drinking. (4/ 2010)
*V Old school winemaking here. This is a solid wine with a fine mid-palate. Long on the finish. These guys are making serious wines of late. Tasted in store August 21, 2012: This is a substantial wine with tons of blackberry fruit on the palate. Has some tannin evident, but fruit covers it well. Great in magnums for a birthday 10 years from now. (Clyde Beffa Jr., K&L Co-owner and Bordeaux buyer)
