2011 Almanac Beer Company "Autumn" Farmhouse Ale Brewed With Plums, California 750ml
Northern California's "farm-to-table" movement just entered an entirely different realm: farm to barrel. Almanac's handcrafted, bottle conditioned, seasonal artisanal ales highlight local farm ingredients, just like your favorite restaurant. This beer, the second ever bottling from Almanac, was brewed with 1,000 pounds of organically grown plums from Twin Girls Farm in Yettem, California. This addition, along with the blending in of rich piloncillo which is an unrefined brown sugar popular in Mexican desserts adds subtle sweetness and complexity to this mildy hoppy, saison styled brew.
