2010 Bishop's Peak Central Coast Chardonnay

Some of the best single vineyard productions of Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays being created and released in this market are coming from the Arroyo Grande’s site of Talley Vineyards. The Bishop Peak’s productions were created for fruit that was bought from various vineyards in the Central Coast, but the style and purity of this Chardonnay is distinctively theirs. Pronounced aromas of rich, well-focused Chardonnay fruit of Pink Lady Apple to pear-like aromas abound in this lush, cleanly produced and crisp flavored wine with wet-river stone mineral undertones where the concentration is on untainted fruit and not the intrusion of oak and heavy doses of malolactic. This Gem is one of our favorite whites in the store, and, according to The Bean, will be one of our house whites for however it is around. 13.9% ABV

Tremendous value from the producers of Talley wines. A clean, crisp, not over-oaked and well balanced California chardonnay is a very tough find. However, the Bishop's Peak chardonnay, with it's floral nose, nice melon and citrus accents, and just enough acidity to balance, hits on every point. Fantastic wine to stock up on!

This second label from Talley Vineyards offers terrific value in an everyday Chardonnay. An abundance of fruit - tropical pineapple, fresh melon, and tart citrus peel notes. The cool 2010 vintage resulted in a fresh, lively wine; sur lie aging added smooth texture and a rich mouthfeel. Aged in stainless steel and neutral oak.

I couldn't believe te quality and depth of this wine for the price. This second wine from Talley brings bright citrus, a touch of barrel spice and a rounded mouth feel. If you like the Foxglove, this is am ust try.

2010 Bishops Peak Chardonnay A stunning Chardonnay for under $20 let alone $11.99. Talley’s second label delivers a rich, textural wine, flavorful with tropical fruit and cantaloupe bursting forth. The wine shows little oak flavor but a portion fermented in neutral oak has giving the wine a good weighty mouth feel that holds the fruit well. A crisp acidity on the finish makes this a pleasant wine all around! Give this one a try you won’t regret it.
