2009 The Lost Weekend "STB" Red Blend

SKU #1079199

"The Lost Weekend" is Beauregard Vineyards' house red blend, named for their tasting room, a historic landmark located in the coastal Santa Cruz Mountain community of Bonny Doon, California, which was formerly known as The Lost Weekend Saloon. This is an unconventional blend of 80% Sangiovese, 16% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Durif (Petite Sirah), a fruit-forward and spicy offering made to be enjoyed young, with food, and in good company. From the winery: "Ripe strawberry, blackberry, hints of black currant, cranberry, sun kissed red cherry skin, rosemary and sage start this intense wine. On the palate hints of baked blueberry, blackberry, black raspberry, rosemary, thyme, sage, white pepper and red tea leafs cover the palate. Intense finish, present tannin but still integrated wrap this big wine up with cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla."
