SKU #1079094 89 points Wine Spectator

Wonderfully effusive, a bouquet of honeysuckle and jasmine gives way to ripe, fleshy peach, pear, tangerine and melon notes. Rich flavors and supple textures are matched by a refreshing acidity. Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Muscat Canelli and Sémillon. (7/ 2012)

Wine Enthusiast

An offbeat blend of several white varieties including Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier. It’s a little on the sweet, simple side, with spicy flavors of apricots, honeysuckle flowers, citrus fruits, vanilla bean and gingersnap cookies. Should be pretty good with Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese fare. (12/ 2011)

K&L Notes

Last of vintage! It's hardly a conundrum anymore. While the exact blend remains a secret, the 2010 Conundrum delivers its promise of being an exotic, food-friendly white wine, neither too rich nor too light, with just the right balance of richness, acdity, and spice. It consists of both popular and esoteric white grapes, including--but in no special order--Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Viognier and Muscat Canelli. The various lots are fermented separately. Some are aged in stainless steel while others are aged in a combination of new and used French oak barrels. Thus the final final cuvée exhibits the best of what both methods impart in harmonious balance. This a quintessential sipper offering copious amounts of ripe, silky fruit, tropical in nature, along with vanilla notes, honeysuckle and peach.
