Another new Buffalo Trace barrel for K&L, another sure-fire winner of a Bourbon that our customers will love. We always look for the samples that don't taste like the regular formula and this time around we found a spicier, almost Four Roses-like specimen that finishes with a peppery flurry. The palate is still silky smooth, however, and the vanilla from the new charred oak integrates nicely with the rest of the flavors. It's Buffalo Trace whiskey in the end and how can you really go wrong with that? These are the same guys making George T. Stagg and the new Van Winkle releases, so there's no way the whiskey won't be utterly delicious.
