There's a sense of finesse to this lively and expressive Champagne, which offers ripe fruit flavors of poached pear, pineapple and almond financier, with hints of grated ginger and coconut. Leaves a lightly chalky impression on the finish. Drink now through 2024. (11/ 2012)
I like the tangerine. Very citrusy and delicious with sliced apples. Bright fruit and fine texture at the finish.
Pale gold. Smoky aromas of yellow plum, pear and honeysuckle, with complicating notes of sweet butter and lemon zest. A fleshy, energetic midweight that offers deep orchard fruit flavors along with nervier citrus and mineral qualities. Finishes with very good cut, length and a slow-building mineral element. 45% Chardonnay, 40% Meunier and 15% Pinot Noir. The bouquet smells of citrus fruits, pear, peach, and with a touch of mint and acacia honey. It is very fresh yet rich in the mouth, and reveals a sweetness that is perfectly balanced by the acidity. The finish gives a zest of green citrus and orange flavors.
