Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2010 Marinsancho Verdejo is, as usual, one of the finest of its vintage. It is a terroir-driven offering with aromas of melon, citrus, nutmeg, mineral, and floral notes. Crisp, vibrant, and intense, this impeccably balanced offering is a role-model of precision Verdejo. Drink this outstanding value (although it is pricy for Verdejo) over the next 3-4 years.

This racy white rides a backbone of acidity, offering lively flavors of almond, apple and flint. Light-bodied, with a clean finish. (Web Only- 2012)
K&L Notes
Angel Rodriguez Leal produces what is hands down the best wine in Rueda, Martinsancho. A family-owned bodega since 1784, holding some of the best real estate in the D.O. Their land boasts Verdejo vines which average 40 years of age and stand in a bed of rounded river stones. Wine is fermented in enamel tanks and aged in very large, neutral oak 'cubas'. The resulting wine is generous, with delicious peach, melon and guava notes, textural, as well as mineral, focused and age-worthy. In other words, drink it now but stash some away for a few years down the road. The 2010 is possibly the most focused, mineral and pure expressions of this wine since the lovely '04 vintage - I cannot recommend this one highly enough. One of the wine world's truly singular wines, and always one of my favorite white wine values not only from Spain, but from anywhere else in the world. (Joe Manekin, K&L Spanish Wine Buyer)
