2009 Sequana Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
SKU #1075236
Connoisseurs Guide
Redolent of black cherries and plums in the nose but bothered at first by a vague earthy note, this nicely filled wine gets it right on the palate with juicy, young cherry-like fruit its main motif. It is solid without being heavy, and it manages to be at once both slightly supple and firm. It may be enjoyable in its fruity youth, but there is little question but that it will be more likeable still if left to sit for a couple of years.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2009 Pinot Noir is a pretty, juicy wine bursting with Russian River character in its expressive sweet red berries, flowers and spices. This medium-bodied, gracious Pinot should continue to drink well for the next 4-5 years. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2016.

Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar
Deep red. Smoky red and dark berries on the nose. Sappy and gently sweet, offering broad raspberry and cherry flavors, with notes of smoked meat and rose in the background. This supple, open-knit pinot finishes with good clarity and lift.

Wine Enthusiast
Doesn’t show quite the rich complexity of Sequana’s single-vineyard Pinots, but a fine wine nonetheless. Dry, tannic and crisp in acidity, it has berry, currant and spice flavors with a nice earthiness.

Wine Spectator
A firm, taut style, with loamy dried berry, sage and cedar flavors. Savory dried berry and sage notes continue through the aftertaste... (Web Only- 2012)
