The non-malolactic, steely, crisp, Wheat Thin-scented and -flavored 2008 Chardonnay Robert Young Vineyard displays honeyed pear and a hint of white currant in a crisp, lovely, fresh style. It sells for a song as well. Readers looking for a bevy of outstanding white wines at remarkably fair prices need look no further than the copious number of selections from Chateau St. Jean.
