Fresh pineapple, candied lemon rind, and alkaline, saline maritime suggestions on the nose of the Viking 2009 Vouvray Sec Tendre lead to a firm yet subtly oily, tart yet lightly sweet palate impression, with citrus rind, lanolin, and quinine bitterness gaining prominence in a bracing but also faintly metallic finish.
