This is a wonderful Zin from the perfect 2009 Sonoma vintage. Very different from many Zins on the shelf, this one is pretty and elegant, with alcohol just under 14% and fresh, lively acidity. Classic Zin flavors of sweet strawberry and cassis are backed up by noticeable cedar and chili spices, with a medium body and lush tannins. The addition of 14% Sangiovese lifts the wine's acidity, softens the body, and adds a touch of tomato. It is versatile with many different foods, perfect with everything from Indian and Chinese cuisine to barbecue and pasta sauce. This biodynamically farmed Dry Creek beauty is delicious and affordable!
