91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Opaque purple; black cherry, plum, and spice box jumps from glass; succulent, already complex." If you thought that Mendoza makes good malbec, you should really try more malbec from up north in Cafayate and Salta, where vineyards are typically as high as 7,000 ft! These are wines with enormous flavor, good structure and due to the huge, elevation influenced daytime/evening temperature swing, balanced acidity. A lot of wine for under $15 (Joe Manekin, K&L).
