This 100% Sauvignon is hand selected from tiny vineyard plots grown in clay and silex soils and only made in certain vintages. Only four barriques (old) are used to make this wine and then it is rested for one year before release - it is a special wine indeed. Big tropical nose of pineapple and dust with brilliant intensity on the pallet. The finish is long and bright with lush fruit and vibrant acidity. I love looking back on my notes and seeing "CRAZY GOOD". Will definitely benefit with a few more years of cellaring. Will definitely go with ripe cheeses, fatty cured meats, grilled or roasted chicken and will rock any type of fish dish. (Eric Story, Loire Buyer)
