From Smith-Madrone's dry-farmed vineyard atop Spring Mountain, this Cabenert-dominated blend also inlcudes small amounts of Merlot and Cab Franc (9% each) for balance and depth. Aromas of dried currants, black cherries and plums are framed by essences of smoke and vanilla spice, sage and cinnamon, all of which carry over to the palate. Deep, luscious mountain fruit on the mid-palate and firm tannins make this a Cab to enjoy now with some air (and a hearty meal) or to put in your cellar for another year or two.
