 *One Star/Fine Example* Clean, mild, a touch on the tight side in its first aromas before opening up with air to reveal mid-volume scents of green apple and hints of pear and sweet citrus, this wine is close to full in body and slightly rounded in feel across the palate. A veneer of creamy oak fills it out nicely, and everything is in place here to make for a good choice with broiled fish. The wine is fairly priced as is but can often be found at discount. K&L Notes

Based on fruit from Hess's Su'skol Vineyard, the wine is aged for nine months in 22% new French oak with partial malolactic fermentation. The resulting wine is rich, with honeysuckle, apple, pear and stone fruit aromas and flavors. Spicy, with a viscous mid-palate and a lingering finish.

Now grown all over the world and bottled by its varietal name, Chardonnay has achieved a level of branding unlike any other wine.
