Here is an excellent quaffer from a highly revered co-op in the Alto Adige--Erste e Neue. It's got a great deep ruby color with aromas and flavors of cherry with nutty accents. Fruity and round, with moderate in alcohol, this wine pairs well with mediterranean dishes as well as spicy Asian fare. I love, love love good versions of St. Magdalener (93% Vernatsch, 7% Lagrein) and this is an excellent version indeed! (Chris Miller, K&L Italian Specialist, Hollywood)
