A great buy for summer! This Cabernet shows a rich, deep core of black cherry, cassis and red currant fruit. The wine is balanced, fresh and hints of toasty oak are well integrated into the wine. The fruit for this wine comes from the Moon Mountain Vineyard, which is certified organic. (Clyde "Trey" Beffa, K&L Hollywood) Wow, this wine is an unbelievable bargain at half off it's original price. It comes from Moon Mountain's 75 acres of organically farmed vineyards in Sonoma County, from the spectacular 2007 vintage. Mostly Cab, there are small amounts of Cab Franc, Malbec, merlot and Petit Verdot added to the wine that, in combination with 21 months of aging in half new French oak, results in a complex, structured wine the likes of which are hard to find at this price.
