90 points and a Best Buy from the Wine Enthusiast: "Neprica is an awesome blend of Negroamaro, Primitivo and Cabernet Sauvignon from southern Italy that offers an unbeatable price versus quality ratio. This rising star of Puglia would pair with meats, pasta or aged cheese and offers clean aromas of ripe fruit, spice and leather." According to Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Neprica is a fresh, floral red made in a juicy style best suited to near-term drinking. Sweet red berries, dried flowers, herbs and tobacco linger on the vinous finish. The blend is Negroamaro, Primitivo and Cabernet Sauvignon. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2013." According to Wine & Spirits: "A blend of negroamaro, primitivo and cabernet, this is a lean wine with black raspberry flavors and silken tannin. Its peppery red fruit has a direct appeal, improving with air as it will in a decanter. For grilled porcini." Antinori moves south! The Tormaresca "Neprica" is made from Negroamaro, Primitivo and Cabernet Sauvignon. Negroamaro and Primitivo by themselves sometimes lack balance or their flavors are too forceful yet with the addition of the Cabernet Sauvignon to the mix, well...Wow! Rich, complex, with loads of fruit yet balanced with a veil of structure that makes it eminently drinkable! (Greg St.Clair K&L's Italian buyer)
