2010 Adegas Cooperativos de Monção "Muralhas" Rosé Vinho Verde (Previously $10)

Think of this as a fun poolside or picnic rose. Some residual sugar but cleaned up on the finish with the acidity. Strawberry flavors with the spritzy mouth feel. Try this with some light spicy food and you won't be disappointed

This fruity, slightly spritzy rose from the Vinho Verde region of Portugal made from a blend of traditional Portuguese grape varietals was a clear winner at our recent staff rose tasting. It has a lovely vibrant pink color and enticing bouquet of sun-kissed raspberries and green melon. Racy acidity and a bit of spritz makes this slightly off-dry, fizzy wine finish clean and pure. Lower in alcohol (11% abv), this wine is very food-friendly and can be enjoyed on many differnt occasions - poolside, at a picnic, bbq, taken out to your favorite restaurant on a warm evening - whatever. You will want to have more than one bottle on hand - trust me!
