This is an interesting, well crafted curiosity: a Mendoza Cabernet that has aged terrifically and at 10 years old is truly hitting its stride. Very savory aromas, with subtle hints of green flavors and coffee beans, lead to a rich, satisfying palate of red cherry and some suggestions of braised meats. Tannins present themselves just before the finish and help to provide structure. Reminiscent of a good 1997 Bordeaux, with riper fruit, this is a wine that will likely suprise and impress for its elegance and ability to have aged so gracefully.
