The Doisy-Vedrines has a refined bouquet of lemon curd, dried honey and just a touch of quince, perhaps not quite as rich as recent vintages, but very well-defined. The palate is well-balanced, with a touch of lime cordial and passion fruit on the entry, and zesty acidity and impressive precision towards the taut, slightly spicy rich finish. Returning after an hour, this sample has enhanced clarity and volume, and subsequent encounters confirm a very promising Doisy-Vedrines. (5/ 2011)
A very ripe and broad style, with intense pineapple, passion fruit and mango notes, featuring a broad finish that takes on a toasted almond frame and a light accent of spiced nutmeg. For fans of the bigger style. Best from 2015 through 2030. (3/ 2013)
Nothing really exuberant here but lots of subtle fruit and spices. The palate shows pretty notes of oranges and cinnamon. Silky finish. Peaches and white fruits too. (4/ 2011)
A wine that shows acidity, a tension between fruit and richness, delicately structured, very aromatic. The texture shows potential richness. (6/ 2011)
