Good, full ruby-red. Very expressive, pristine aromas of maraschino cherry, plum, sage and licorice. Light, juicy and precise, with soft red and black fruit flavors complicated by dried herbs and spices. Finishes with substantial but smooth tannins. (5/ 2011)

Shows good vivacity, with loganberry, boysenberry and fig notes coursing along, offering lots of mouthwatering spice and a well-embedded licorice streak on the finish. The polished structure and ample length bode well for the cellar. Drink now through 2018. (3/ 2013)
