Somewhat curiously, in 2009 this is actually a bit more elegant with a ripe, pure and pretty nose of apple and white orchard fruit aromas that lead to dense, powerful and muscular broad-scaled flavors that manage to keep fine detail on the palate staining finish. This is by no means as refined as the Côte de Bouguerots but it's not overtly rustic either. (10/ 2011)
Pale yellow. Reticent but pure nose hints at citrus peel and minerals, along with a high-pitched floral note. Firm on entry, then dense, citrussy and precise in the middle, showing very good intensity but coming across as quite tightly coiled today. Finishes with very good grip and saline minerality. This is a baby now and will need several years of cellaring to reveal its inherent complexity. (8/ 2011)
