According to Robert Parker: "Enjoying a new owner as well as a new style, La Dauphine is now owned by Jean Halley, who also recently purchased Canon-de-Brem. Halley has produced an opulent, attractive, plump, seductive 2001 possessing a deep ruby/purple color in addition to a sweet perfume of raspberries and blackberries, a fleshy mid-section, and a sexy finish. Enjoy it over the next 5-6 years." (06/04) According to the Wine Spectator: "A clean and fruity wine with just the right amount of spice. Medium body. Fine tannins. A good showing for the vintage. Best after 2005."
