From Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Marchesi di Gresy is best known for their Barbarescos, which are typically some of the best in the region. As good as those wines can be, the estate also releases a number of fine entry-level bottlings." (08/10) Produced from grapes grown in the same vineyard as the famous Barbaresco, this wine has all the character and elegance of a great Nebbiolo with an intense perfume of fine flowers and mature berries. Fresh and pleasant on the palate with typical tannic backbone, it is ideal with grilled foods, white and red meats, and medium aged cheeses.
