The 30-year-old, Wente clone vines at Brosseau Vineyard kicked off harvest in 2009. Brought in at 22.8 brix, the wine fermented to dryness using indigenous yeasts over the coarse of several months. The wine saw no new oak in an attempt to put the focus squarely on the quality and minerality of the old vine fruit. This is atypical Chardonnay from a jewel of a vineyard planted on limestone and decomposed granite at 1600’ in the Gabilan Range. 50 cases made.
