That gives a welcome layer of smoky richness and vanilla to the beautiful, underlying Meyer lemon, lime, pear and green apple flavors that are so rich and mouthwateringly tart. A very drinkable, dry white wine.
An absolutely outrageous bargain is the 2009 Fume Blanc Sonoma, which exhibits notes of flint, honeyed grapefruit, orange rind and mango in a fresh, light-bodied, vivacious style bursting with fruit and acidity.
